| Commission Meeting Date: 5/4/2021 | | Requested Action by Commission: Proclaim the month of May 2021 as Guardian Ad Litem, Speak Up for Kids and Foster Care Appreciation Month. Tonya Cajuste of Speak Up for Kids will accept the proclamation. | Explanation of Request: The Guardian Ad Litem Program is a force of volunteers who advocate on behalf of children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned by their caregivers. Speak Up for Kids of Palm Beach County is the exclusive 501(c)(3) fundraising arm for the Guardian ad Litem Program of Palm Beach County, funding wellness, normalcy, and therapeutic initiatives for children in care. Boynton Beach, the leadership of the Guardian Ad Litem Program and Speak Up for Kids is honored to join forces and collectively build awareness around and advocate for the best interests of our community’s most vulnerable children.
